False & Misleading Content on Wikipedia!!!

One more misleading wiki page/info/edit by a few Kapu miscreants, they have changed the caste of popular yesteryear Telugu scientist GD.Naidu’s caste to their caste, after successfully destroying the historical information on the arise of the honorific title 'Naidu' in the Southern India. G.D.‘Naidu’ even though he is Kamma, they made him Kapu, with no citation of proof and with the misleading content, they also protected the wikipedia page so that others can't correct it, if this is case, it will only bring bad reputation to wikipedia and its information going forward….!!!

Do 'Naidu' title belongs to Kapus in Coastal Andhra? As they claim?

The Answer is big 'NO' because look at the below given examples, where these people are from varoius communities and caste groups but they all have a suffix Naidu to their names and they are from Coastal Andhra and else where, with this it is evident that the claim that the title 'Naidu' belongs to Kapu's in coastal andhra is fake and misleading....!!!

Therefore the claim that Naidu's of coastal Andhra refers to Kapu's is a false claim and is misleading...!!! 

What is the History of the title 'Naidu'?

 Historically, It has more than 1000 years of history as people who were soldiers or chiefs of the soldiers were called Nayakas during the ancient times and then those Nayaka got corrupted form as Nayak which eventually become Nayakudu and then 'Naidu'. 

Which caste started using it first?

Historically there is more than 1000 years of history to prove that it was Kammas who used it for long, but lately several other castes too started owning it to their name, below are some of the links provided to prove the same...!!!

Are there really 'Shetty's in the Telugu culture???

 The answer is Absolute NO! But a few Kapu castes such as 'polisetti', koppisetti of Andhra who are the Setti Balijas here doing small jobs started to twist their spellings as 'Shetty' and attached to their names. 

Ex: Actor Naveen Polisetti writes his name as PoliShetty in his social media profiles...! 

This has been the case all through the years where they are trying to mimic other castes & titles...! Therefore, one should be beware of these malpractices & manipulations from losing or mixing up their communities...! 

Why Kapu caste people always try to mimic (or) manipulate caste titles such as 'Naidu'?

This has been happening for very long especially in Telugu states...! 

If you see the surname 'Neni' it is majorly found in Kammas and small amounts in Velamas (Padmanayaka Velama's only) but Kapu's started to mimic that name too through their political party 'Janasena' where its leader Pawan Kalyan calls his party followers as 'Jana-senani' that sounds similar to 'Neni' of Kammas, over a period their intention is to manipulate these castes too such as they did with the title 'Naidu'...!

The Confusion in the title 'Naidu' usage among Telugu people....!

There are several historical evidences to prove that it was Kamma's the original suffix holders of the honorific title 'Naidu' not just in Andhra but in Tamil Naidu, Karnataka, Maharastra and else where, but over a period especially starting from the 19th century several Kapu communities started attaching the title 'Naidu' to their names as a suffix to raise their social rank.

They reportedly argue that anyone who owns the land can be a 'Naidu' as they too own small amounts of land in Andhra they claim the tag Naidu to their names!  

If you check their children (Especially Kapu's) on various Telugu matrimonial sites, they'll mention their caste as 'Naidu' putting aside their caste which is Kapu/Balija/Munnurukapu /ontari, despite the fact that 'Naidu' is not a caste title but a honorific title for the leaders...! 

Especially Kapu's started adapting the title to their names through there are no evidence to prove that they are the original/ancient title holders of the above honorific title...!

Eg:- You can just google 'Naidu Matrimony' in the Internet you'll see a flood of websites popping up and most of the profiles say they are either Balija/Kapu/Telaga/Ontari/Munnuru Kapu by caste upon cross checking with them, therefore always ask for the caste before jumping into conclusions of someone bearing a title 'Naidu' to their names, thank you.
